Ashtead Pottery, Ashstead, Surrey
The Ashtead Pottery was established in 1923 to create employment for disabled ex-servicemen from WW1. They mainly specialised in decorative and useful wares, but also made a few tiles, chiefly to designs used on their pottery. The company were decorators only, using floor tiles supplied by a Dutch pottery, Tegelfabriek Schiedam, and Minton and Co. They went out of business in 1935.Your Exploration Trail
