Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin
A W N Pugin was one of the leaders of the Gothic Revival, and a strong advocate of colour in (church) architecture. He collaborated with Herbert Minton in the design of neo-gothic encaustic and majolica tiles, being responsible for the interiors (and particularly the tiles) of the Palace of Westminster (1840-1845) and the Temple Church in London (1840-1843).
