Chamberlain & Co., Worcester
Chamberlain & Co of Worcester were one of the original companies to buy into Samuel Wright's patent for the manufacture of encaustic tiles, sharing the business with Herbert Minton. The company was not altogether successful in manufacturing such tiles and by 1844 had discontinued production. The works were eventually taken over by Maw and Co, but shortly afterwards, they moved to Banthall, Shropshire to find better clays.
