George Wooliscroft and Sons made tiles from c1884 to 2000 when they were taken over by Pilkingtons Tiles. They produced a wide range of tiles and were suppliers of blanks to a number of other tile decorating companies. They made mainly floor tiles after about 1910. Their works was unusual in that power was produced from a large waterwheel.
