The Photo-Decorated Tile Co., Tutbury, Gloucestershire
In 1897 George Henry Grundy and George Arthur Lingard took out a patent for the application of photographic images to tiles. In 1900 Grundy sold the patent to the Royal Castle Flint Glassworks in Derbyshire who continued to make the tiles under the tradename of The Photo-Decorated Tile Co. In addition to Grundy's photographic tiles they also produced a range of relief moulded Art Nouveau designs.
