Maw and Co for C P Sutcliffe and Co, relief moulded dust-pressed tile, seaweed design under a single colour glaze. Various colourways exist. 6" square, c1880. The Victorians re-discovered the seaside and depictions of seaweed and other things associated with the seaside became very popular in the 1880s.
